- Substance Abuse Prevention Group (based on MAYSI-2 scores)
Post-Dispositional Services
- Intake & Orientation to Services
- Psycho-Educational Group
- Anger Management (based on MAYSI-2 scores)
- Substance Abuse Prevention Group (provided by NRVCSB)
- Individual Therapy
- Transitional Living Skills Group
Intake & Orientation to Services
During the intake session each detainee will meet with the Clinician and/or Case Manager to discuss mental health services available at NRVJDH. Detainees being held for more than 30 days will be given a School Intake to further assess mental health and substance abuse issues. Detainees in the Post-Dispositional program will be given a full Mental Health Intake, which further examines their mental health, substance abuse, and criminal histories. During the initial intake session, the mental health workers also discuss the follow-up services that are available. When detainees request aftercare services, referrals are made to the appropriate community service agency to allow the agency time to prepare for the youth's return to the community.
Psycho-Educational Services
This group is held on a weekly basis in the classrooms. All detainees are eligible for this service. These groups focus on conflict resolution, substance abuse education, communication, decision making, problem solving and peer refusal skills.
